A COLD WINTER TEA TIME for "Friends Sharing Tea"

For about a month, this has
 been a colder than usual
winter in Missouri - at least that's
what the locals tell me.

After all these cold days I couldn't resist
these primroses at Aldi's for 49 cents each.

In front of the fireplace is where you
will find me these days - drinking hot tea
and sometimes hot chocolate.

The sound of the tea kettle
has been very familiar lately.

Yesterday I opened a little package
and inside were a number of
 small treasures from Michele at
"The Nest at Finch Rest".  Now
was that a sweet surprise!

It has finally gotten warmer
this week and although still cold,
more typical of past years.

I am sharing a used book I
recently purchased about
the life of L. M. Montgomery who
wrote Anne of Green Gables and
many other wonderful books.

Please pour yourself some
 tea or
hot chocolate and if you
can't tell the difference
between them and a teapot

I hope you are staying away from all
the bad germs this winter!  It is a good
time to stay in and away from them!

Please join me if you like by
linking a tea time post from
your blog below.  I will
be joining these friends:

Wintertime is a good time to stay indoors sipping tea and hot chocolate, especially during cold and flu season. Our weather has been up and down like crazy; very mild today but is supposed to turn very cold over night. It is hard on the immune system.
All your tea things are so pretty and dainty. I love your coffee table and the primroses are really sweet! Flowers lift the spirits. Michele is such a thoughtful person and your gifts are lovely! Thank you for hosting and have a beautiful day, Bernideen.

I got to know Michele better when we were paired up for a teacup swap (I sent her a teacup) a few years ago. It's definitely sipping hot beverages by the fireplace season. If I didn't have to go to work, I'd go into complete hibernation mode. Thank you for hosting and sharing your lovely tea set!

Ruth, Michele is one of the sweetest bloggers out there! Love your pretty tea and primroses. What a bargain! One of our local stores had them, but they were almost $4 each. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Michele is such a dear, kind, thoughtful friend, Bernideen, and what she sent you was such a lovely gift to enjoy by your fire and with your tea table. I hope to join in your party next week. May you have a happy week!

Bernideen, I couldn't have resisted those primroses either! I had pumpkin pie and Earl Grey tea for breakfast this morning. AND I'm going to have to have more later -- I had to make three pies in two days in order to perfect the crust. Apparently all-butter crusts get pretty unhappy (hard) when double baked, but I figured out how to keep it tender and flaky. Have to take more photos later and hope to use one with tea in it as well!

Oh boy if I knew Aldis's had Primrose I would have gone right didn't' save me one by chance? It's probably too cold to ship it to me so I'll let you take care of it! LOL. I love you dishes and the adorable boy and girls. They would fit my little lamps so well. It's been cold here too but the last two days warmed up and we worked a bit out on the deck.
