DECOUPAGE - JUST LIKE IN THE 70'S

I have been doing something like we did in the late 60's and 1970's.
 Do you remember decoupage?

These are from Tasha Tudor's
 artwork from her books:

And these are Beatrix Potter:

That is adorable Bernideen! I made a wooden Holly Hobbie purse when I was a teen in the 70's. It was all the rage. These are so cute!

Oh, how lovely! Yes, I have done (and still do, occasionally) decoupage. Recently learned that a family member is working for Mod Podge and was thrilled to hear we have a "connection" there now!

OH my Bernideen, I did so much decoupage back in the day, and still do it, on occasion. Your examples turned out great, and you've given me some ideas! Thank you!

Very cool, Bernideen!! Did you use mod podge? I remember buying a container of that stuff with all intents of doing some decoupage with some beautiful floral napkins I found but somehow the project never happened. I guess life got in the way!!

Great inspiration. I used to do lots of decoupage. All 10 coats per item. If I do it now it is only one or two. But I love the look.

These are so pretty, Bernideen! Did you scan or copy the illustrations you used, or did you use the actual book pages? What lovely projects. Thanks for sharing!

I made decoupage items for family member's Christmas gifts when I was a young bride with little funds.
