4th of JULY PATRIOTIC TRANSFERWARE for BTTCG Blog Party

Dear blogging friends!

Today I am sharing some Homer Laughlin
 "George Washington" inspired transferware
I found about a year ago.
It was made in the USA too
I have mixed it with other
red transferware pieces:

I had seen one of these teapots a few years ago
in Colorado but it had a broken lid pourly glued back
together.  Patience is only occasionally
availed to me but eventually as I waited
I found a perfect one in Denver, Colorado.

I love these sweet George and Martha bookends:

I want to wish everyone (here in the USA) a Happy 4th of July!

I am one of many who are so sad to see the values
of our great country being dissolved every day
 little by little.
 May God restore
America is my prayer.
Prayer and God have been removed from
everything possible.  It is very sad.

God Bless America
While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

God bless America, land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America,
My home sweet home.

Yesterday I found this awesome old
tin at Midway Antique and Flea Market:

This was another vintage item I found -
a little oval of Martha Washington:

I hope you can join me in my blog party:

Happy 4th of July, my friend! I hope you have a beautiful day celebrating your country. I too am sad for the Christian principles being thrown out one by one in our own country. On April 1st of this year, PEI was the last province in Canada to legalize abortion. A very sad day for those of us who believe in the right to life for the unborn.

I am simply swooning over your transferware! I so love the red/pink! You have a gorgeous collection and thank you for sharing it with us today.

Blessings,
Sandi

Oh, that teapot is beautiful!! I've never seen that pattern; perfect for the Fourth. I love red transfer ware; collecting it was my introduction into the world of china. I inherited some pieces from my grandmother and wanted to add to her collection, and the rest is history! What a beautiful cabinet to display your pretty china. And yes, it is shocking and sad to see how far things have slid in my lifetime. My hope is that there is still a good remnant praying; may God be merciful to us all. xo Deborah

Hi Bernideen, love your red transferware for the 4th, the teapot is perfect for the occasion! Yes, my prayer is that America would come back to God and be one Nation under God once again.
I'm surprised I didn't see you at the Mall yesterday, I was there first thing and last thing for a while.
Talk to you soon,

What beautiful transferware, Bernideen! I have never seen any like it. The teapot was worth the wait!

I share your concerns and prayers for our country. So sad to see our values and liberties eroding. God is able to turn things around, however, starting in the hearts and lives of individuals.

Bernideen, I sometimes will serve ice cream (only homemade and in a teacup) at an outdoor summer tea. I'll be serving this at a peach-themed tea in the gazebo next month. I love your posts about small Missouri towns -- they make me want to take a road trip!
