VINTAGE JEWELRY for BTTCG Blog Party

I have been stealing some posts from former years to
"get by" during a very busy time in my life.
This week we have had new carpeting installed in our
home in Colorado and we just received word that the
granite counters will be here on March 8th.
This is the home we will be moving out
of and putting up for sale. We are
anxious to get on with this next stage
of our lives and be near our family.

So for today's post,  you can see,

I collect Vintage Jewelry and wear it often.

These are just a few pieces that are pink ones
on my old Japanese Cashmere Cardigan:

I see these photos from the past below are a little blurry for which I apologize.

I do love Miriam Haskell pieces!

I don't necessarily collect cameos but this one was
given to me by a friend who passed away.

This necklace below is Victorian:

My brother H. B. (Hurley) was a Leap Year Baby and
today would have been his 68th birthday.
He passed away several years ago so
I am dedicating this post to memory of him!

I did take the photo below this morning
of some of my red and blue pieces:

I will be sharing this post at these parties:

Pink is one of my favorite colors to see on a woman. It's so feminine, so fitting for her. It brings back memories of a certain special someone for me. --Teaternity

Lovely Pink Saturday post and sweet blog, too. Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground so even thought this isn't Saturday I really needed a boost! Today you made me smile...

Sorry, I didn't get to see everyone yesterday. I had important business. My 11 year-old grandson was playing football and he wanted Mimi to go to the out-of-town-last-of-the-season-game. THEY WON AGAINST AN UNDEFEATED TEAM! WOO-HOO! 35 - 17☺

Hope the coming week blesses you with sunshine, happiness and good friends.

Dear Bernideen, collecting vintage jewelry is such a fascinating thing! I especially like the last piece. The pink cardigan with the embroidery is also a gem by itself! I would have loved to see how the jewelry looks on you when you are wearing it, since I wonder how it combines with more modern clothes.
Thank you so much for keeping your blog party going despite your move.
Warm regards,
Christina

Hi Bernideen,
You are so busy. Won't you be glad when all of the renovations are complete and you can enjoy your new home? Your vintage jewelery is lovely and would look so pretty in your china cabinet amongst your treasured china pieces. That's what I do with sparkly jewels. I don't know anyone with a leap year birthday. You must miss your brother very much - I am so sorry. Thank you for always leaving such kind comments on my post and thank you hosting. Try to relax somehow between your busy days. Take care. Karen

I also do love vintage jewels, for me they're much more precious than the newer ones, and yours are truly gorgeous !
Today I'm here with two old post of mine ... both in theme with this period of the year, because Spring which means violets to me, and the Anniversary of ~ My little old world ~ are going to approach and I love to remember the first time I celebrated it !

Sending much love to you, my wonderful Bernideen, I wish you all the best for the remainder of your week just begun, with heartfelt gratitude

I have become more and more interested in vintage jewelry during the last couple of years. A local antique show three times a year showcases gorgeous jewelry. I'm drawn to the Victorian pieces like yours. The craftsmanship is amazing and so intricate.
I applaud you for blogging in the midst of home renovations.

How wonderful dear Bernideen, your pieces are lovely. I have manage to collect several vintage pins and I wear them at times. Moving is hectic and I'm sure preparing to sell a home is as well. I dread when I have to pack up and move to mamas house such a chore it will be. I hope everything goes as planned love the vintage sweater too. Have a lovely day, don't work to hard. With love Janice

Your jewelry is absolutely stunning! I can't pick a favorite because one is just as beautiful as the next. I have always loved vintage/Victorian jewelry because of my Grandmother. I have a cameo and some other pieces of hers that I treasure.

Bernideen, I hate wearing jewelry (I find it annoying), but I love looking at it! Especially necklaces, though I hate wearing them most of all. Vintage pieces are especially lovely. Maybe I should just decorate with jewelry instead of wearing it?!
