PACKING IT UP for BTTCG Blog Party

A few weeks ago, I took some photos of teapots and cups and saucers lined up on my buffet in the kitchen a lot like this:

The truth is I had no choice because
Things were lined up for a reason
My husband has been packing them for weeks!
Yes, we are moving.
In fact, as you read this –

These items are waiting in Missouri to be “unpacked”.

Yes, my husband is the one who does the wrapping
and packing into the boxes.  He is good at it.  I am terrible
and obviously - these treasures are very breakable.  My job is to I type the labels for every box identifying what is in
 the box and what room
it should be taken to in our Missouri home.

I wouldn't wish this job on anyone but
let's face it, it doesn't do any good to gripe so we just have to
"Keep Calm and Carry On"!

One of my jobs was to carry these things up from the basement.
Yes, I will do whatever it takes!

I am excited to be moving to Missouri
to be near our son and family!

I think this quote says it well:

I hope you can join me today for my BTTCG Blog Party!

Bernideen, you have been a busy bee! It's no fun moving. I've done it more than a dozen times with another one coming up in the near future. I know you will be very happy in your new home close to your loved ones. I love the teapot and cups with the birds on them. They're very sweet! Thanks so much for hosting during this busy transition and also for joining me too. Have a wonderful day, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

If you think of it, please send me your new address via email so I can update my addy for you. When are you officially all there then?

Good luck with all of this - it's such hard work but going to be so awesome when you are closer to missed loved ones! Children stay little for half a second, glad you will be a part of things. ♥♥♥

Dear Bernideen, I can imagine packing up all your delicate china is quite a task, but how wonderful that your husband is good at it. I wish you the best of luck that everything arrives in Missouri the way it went into the box! Thanks for hosting your blog party!

I hope your move goes smoothly...my husband is our packer too...whether for a move or the business. He could always see how to get the most in the smallest space...good thing, as we have moved several times! Hope this is a last one for you...I always like moving...a chance to reorganize! I know you'll have fun with that. Lovely treasures! Look forward to seeing them in your new home! Thanks for hosting, and for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Thank you for hosting me, my dear friend !
That's the first time I share a post of mine here, actually I follow you for such a short time and I'm so overjoyed to be here, truly !

I don't envy your husband in his work, he's certainly much patient, I wonder the care he put in trying to preserve all those treasures you have to carry with you !
May your week be filled with joy, good work to both of you
Sending love and hugs to you
Dany

P.S. Actually I cannot find my avatar amongst your followers, maybe something has gone wrong and it's better for me do everything again :) !

Nothing so exciting as a move to a new place and yet nothing so nerve wracking as a move to a new place....We are the same here - hubby packs everything and I label but I don't have such a beautiful collection! Thanks so much for all you do!

What lovely treasures you have. My husband also does the packing up when needed. A million years ago we owned an antique store in Northern California and he was always the best at careful packing. I'm sure your treasures will enjoy their new home. I really like the tea set with birds on it.

I don't envy you the packing and packing but I know you will be so happy in your new home. We moved many times during our Navy years but the movers always did the work..... our past move was a big one and we did it all. I know how much work it is. Especially when you have so many treasures to Protect. Thinking of you!!!!

Hi Bernideen,
I am so sorry that I am late to link up again. Today I planned to link up but had a bad fever and aches. I am feeling a little better so here I am. Oh my I adore your teapots! The little musical McClurg Japanese teapot is my so adorable. I have one too as you know but mine has no music box. My favs are the two crinoline ladies! Swoon!!! I have been searching but they are all too costly. I actually saw the Japanese teapot on e-bay for $279.00. And the pink and blue crinoline ladies are much more!! I can't wait to see pics of your new home in Missouri! Soo exciting! Just take one box at a time Dear Bernideen! And be careful of those marked Fragile with all of your treasures inside. Thank you for hosting such a lovely party! So many visiting today! Karen

I'm doing a big sort out here of everything - what to keep and what to give to Hospice.
So I can understand how time consuming your packing up must be.
Will you still have your shop in Missouri?
Thank you for hosting Bernideen.

Wonderful to be near your son's family!! And decorating your new home will be a fun adventure as well. Thanks for sharing with SYC, and for hosting.
