A RELAXING SPOT FOR TEA and BTTCG Blog Party

Now that the Christmas tree is gone, I have my
favorite spot back for
tea back again by the window.

And just outside:

I am wishing the lawn was covered completely with snow
outside though instead of brown grass.
Not to worry, it will happen again!

As I enjoy my tea, I have been feasting my eyes on Carolyn Aiken's newest book about home, garden and tea entitled "Aiken House & Gardens".  I have all four now.  The photos are so lovely and carry you through all four seasons on Prince Edward Island.

You can order all or any of Carolyn's books HERE.  Winter is the perfect season for inspiration and believe me you will be inspired by Carolyn's beautiful photos.

I have been enjoying so many Christmasy teas over the holidays. I have poured you a cup of the Downton Abbey Christmas Tea.  Of course, I assume you watched last night?

Please try some homemade Orange Banana Walnut Bread:

I will be sharing this posting at these parties:

I hope you will join me below in my blog party
and please include a link to this post on your blog as well.

Dear Bernideen, I enjoyed looking at your blog post! That is truly a sweet spot to have tea by your lovely big window. And what a nice bouquet! Over the holidays I had the pleasure to have tea and flip through some great tea and home & garden magazines as well, which was really a treat. I even tried out a new recipe for a soup being suited to be the first course in an English Afternoon Tea, yay!
Wishing you a great New Year 2016!
Warm regards,
Christina

Happy New Year, my dear friend! I so love your window overlooking your yard, for a cup of tea. We have lots of snow here with more to come. I must pick up a copy of Carolyn's newest book. I do love your Bird Trellis tea ware. Those birdies are so sweet! We have had chickadees, gold finches, and juncos at our feeder these days. One day Mr. Squirrel found his way inside it too but Hubby put the run to him. I like squirrels but not when they scare the birds away. As always, you have a lovely tea setting. Thanks for sharing and dropping by to join me too.

Blessings,
Sandi

Your tea today is so pretty in front of your window, with such a lovely view. Did you make the pillows? I love their look! Thank you so much for hosting your special party for us.

Wish I could join you for tea at the window before you move on but I know there's going to be a special place for tea in your new home.
I watched Downton Abbey and loved every minute of it!

I only have 2 of the 4 of Carolyn's books- the first one, and her Christmas one. I need to get the other two for sure - it is great to promote one another tea sisters, thanks for the reminder! They make GREAT gifts!

Your tea spot is gorgeous and you have set a lovely table, Bernideen.

It's lightly sprinkling snow flakes today - finally cooled enough to give us a feeling of winter. Hope it lasts, I love winter.

Happy sippin'! Hugs! ♥

That spot before the window is a perfect place for a tea table. Do you take afternoon tea there every day? You will have to re-create just such a corner in your new home.

Hello Bernideen, Happy New Year! Your newly free window is the perfect spot for your lovely tea. The homemade bread looks delicious and all the tea cups are so lovely. The magazine makes me yearn for summer.

Happy New Year, Bernideen! Yes, I tuned into Downton Abbey's season premiere, as well as the pre- and post-show specials. I wished that the DA teas were more available north in the border. Last year, I purchased The English Rose tea but passed on the the other DA teas in an attempt to exercise some restraint. Of course, now I regret it as the DA teas are all sold out!

Thanks for hosting and enjoy the first week of January!

Happy New Year Bernideen! What a gorgeous setting to enjoy your first tea time of the year. After seeing so much red and green recently, pink is a nice change of pace. Your elongated teapot by the bouquet of roses is quite beautiful. Thanks for sharing and hosting.

Oh gosh, your tea table and flowers have me longing for spring Bernideen. It is just gorgeous! I don't have any of Carolyn's books and would love them. I better check out that link. Thanks for the party.

Hi Bernideen,
Your tea setting by the window is such a pretty set up. Your roses are gorgeous and daffodil's are always a favorite! I force bloomed some paperwhites for Christmas, although they did bloom for Christmas, they were way too tall and didn't bloom long enough. So not sure if it was worth it.
Sweet little birds outside for you to admire. I am waiting for some snow too, we have only had one dusting that did not last long back in November I believe.
It looks like you have the same teapot as Lavender Cottage has in her link. Pretty.
I didn't know Carolyn had books on her beautiful island home and garden, how nice.
Take care and enjoy your remaining time in Colorado!
Gina
