THE SNOWLADY TEA and BTTCG Blog Party

The decorations are done - time to bake!

Maybe you are like me and have stacks of recipe books
and folders of printed out recipes on the kitchen table right now!
Now that the decorations are out it is time to do some baking!  Every year my Snowlady has a tea and this year
she is delighted to have guests!

Snowlady saw a recipe in the 2015
 November/December
issue of Victoria which looked so fun!
 You can find the recipe
in the recent issue for these little tarts.
(Food alert here: there are nuts in the pastry)

As you can see, my Snowlady loves to have a tea party too!

Snowlady had no problem finding the Dalmatia fig spread for this tart recipe but she also used Cherry Tart Filling.  There are also toasted hazelnuts and almonds in the pastry.  People must be doing a lot of baking because there were no 10 lb. bags of sugar on the shelves at the market!

Mr and Mrs Fox wanted to come to Snowlady's Tea Party and they were happy to get to come home now that they are no longer in the Christmas window at my store which closed this summer.

I will be on the look for a tiny 1" star cookie cutter as I
did not have one - Snowlady used a tiny angel
one and little round design for my pastry tops.

I hope you will enjoy sharing a link of a post on your blog here at the bottom! Please include a link on your blog to this one!
I also share with other blog parties:

Good morning Bernideen,
I have always admired that Snowman tea set! Would love to have one some day. Your pastries look just wonderful and what a treat they would be with a cup of tea. Love the foxes and the reflection of your Christmas tree in the window makes the whole room look magical. I would so love to join you! Thanks for sharing and have a beautiful week ahead.

Christmas blessings,

Oh what fun your party is today, with the Snow Lady as hostess! I just smiled to see that the foxes were able to join the tea party in your home, Bernideen. Aren't they a handsome pair? The tarts look delectable and I must go look up the recipe. Thanks for hosting your lovely tea party and sharing your home with us.

Your Snowlady sure knows how to do up teatime for the holidays in style! No wonder Mr,. and Mrs. Fox wanted to join her - too too cute, Bernideen!

Say - will you send me an email with your address? I think I may have a small star cutter in my big bag my daughter just borrowed - if so, it's yours.

Hugs!

Dear Bernideen, I am reading your blog for a long time by now and enjoy your tea parties quite a bit.
I was so pleased to discover that you recently opened up your tea party also to other topics beyond tea like cottage, gardening etc.
I am writing primarily a garden blog called "Organic Garden Dreams" and I am excited to take part in your party for the very first time today and added a link to my latest post about roses that have been blooming in my garden in November.
Wishing you a wonderful 3rd Advents week and lot of fun baking!
Warm regards,
Christina
