BERNIDEEN'S TEA TIME, COTTAGE AND GARDEN BLOG PARTY

I have so much to celebrate today!  For one thing, we have our new windows in and that project is done!  Last Friday we were afraid they were going to cancel us again as the sky was cloudy but they got the job done! (just for anyone interested we got replacement Pella Windows in every window of our house except one)

Today, I was able to squeeze one last floral bouquet out of the garden.  Can you believe I still have Queen Anne's Lace?
It wouldn't have lasted this long but by deadheading it all summer, it kept blooming from May until now.

We have lived with messes at our house now for over 3 weeks so while in the holding pattern, I have been doing some sewing.  These are the items I was able to make by cutting up a old Pendleton throw which had a few holes in it.   I also used some vintage crochet and old potholders.
I made myself a tote bag for Christmastime.

I was able to make a total of 3 small pillows.

I made a liner which goes all inside the old picnic basket we found at the flea markets in Fort Collins.  That project used up the most fabric as it goes all down inside.

The birds are enjoying their new bird feeder!

My tea set is by Crownford from about 22 years ago.  I also have luncheon plates I love.  This was a New York company that private labeled from England.  I think they had a lot of quality control issues and they closed after being around a long time.

Today starts my new blog party - well not really "new" as I have had a blog party a long time but I have just changed up the name to be more inclusive of those who don't do tea posts.  What that means is that you are invited to link anything here related to Tea Time, Cottage or Garden:  tea posts, DIY, gardening, sewing, crafting, scrap booking, hobbies, pets, travel, visits to tea rooms, baking, cooking, decorating, crochet or knitting and the list goes on.  Here is the logo and if you like,  use it to replace my old ones!

I always link to other favorite blog parties as well:

Hi Bernideen. Congratulations that your windows are in! WooHoo! I just love your hunt teaset, and your fall colors of the Pendeleton, pillows and picnic basket. Perfect for the season. And your garden is looking lovely! 20 inches of snow just above us on the Olympics last night...the seasons are definitely changing!

Hi Bernideen! Your British tea set looks very pretty, although i don't like fox hunting. I love your beautiful seawing works, those looks so cosy and goes well with christmas decorations. Happy autumn!

Good morning Bernideen,
I'm glad you finally got your new windows in. Now you can concentrate on the holidays.

I absolutely love your hunting scenes tea set! I think it may be one of my favourites as I adore anything British! The tartan pillows and table covering all make your outdoor tea look cozy and inviting. Tartan always reminds me of the holidays. Nice new bird feeder too. Thanks for hosting and joining me for my new party as well. Have a lovely day and week.

Autumn blessings,
Sandi

Happy dance for the windows in Bernideen, I remember when we went through the process. Thanks for creating a meme to include more than just tea, sometimes I had nothing to contribute and since I changed to participating in my own meme, I can link to both you and Sandi again.

Dear Bernideen,

nice thing to get new windows before winter starts. I hope you have more comfort with the new one.
Your Tartan decoration looks great and I love your hunting china to that. Really wonderful for autumn. And your garden still gifts you flowers!

Thank you for your sweet comment for the Owl decoration. Here it is the same. Since Harry Potter, all things with Owl design are so popular. Often the designs look like kids toys. But I liked those snow owls, so naturally.

Thank you for the nice words about the wreaths. I love to make them.

I tried to answer via E-Mail but you have a new E-Mail-Address, do you?

Thanks for sharing and hosting this new Party.
Best greetings, Johanna

Wow B- so many nice things here! LOVE your new sewing projects - they look so autumn and so perfect with your amazing gorgeous "Hunting" tea set!

The fact you got one last bouquet - wow so pretty- from your garden is amazing. Mine has been dead since that first frost, but is confused because it is in the 70s today. Ugh.

Anyway, thank you for your (new) linky party! Hugs!

I am so excited about your new Tuesday link party ! Thank-you Bernideen.

You're doing what I've been doing this past week. I have been crafting hand bags and totes from bits and pieces of my hand-woven fabric that have been stored in baskets for many years now. It seems a waste not to use good wool fabric, even if there are a few holes in parts of it. I love what you've done with yours. I have an old Pendleton wool plaid robe I might just use as you've done in this post.

Thank-you again Bernideen for the opportunity to enjoy my Tuesdays in link parties celebrating all things that make a house a home !

I'm so happy to have met you today, my first time to participate in your link up party, and what a joy! You are quite the seamstress, the amazing pillows and picnic basket made out of an old blanket - wow, just lovely! It always feels so wonderful to repurpose old things into something new, doesn't it! And it was lovely to hear the history behind your teacup set, quite unique I must say! Enjoyed my visit here today, and hoping you are enjoying your wonderful new windows :)

Gosh Bernideen, I love it all! I am going to use plaid in my kitchen for Christmas this year and while I am sitting and nursing this cold I am making a plaid garland. The addition of the potholders are so cute and I especially love the picnic liner! Beautiful tea and wonderful to still be picking flowers!
hugs,
Jann

Bernideen, the cups shown on my link (#24) are Wedgwood Midwinter stoneware. My mother bought a huge set of it in the late 70s and really enjoyed it. I think of her whenever I use it. Love your new theme!
