TWO SADLER'S for "Friends Sharing Tea"

Welcome to Friends Sharing tea which is my weekly blog party about about our love of tea time!

I recently found another Brown Betty "looking"
Sadler teapot while out flea and  antiquing.  I already had one with a pink band of flowers but now I have this one which has green:

I love their casual style.

I also found these little figurines which I adore.  They remind me of George and Martha Washington.

Having watched Downton Abbey earlier (DVD's) my husband and I enjoyed watching two seasons of Mr. Selfridge and also the second season of The Paradise.  There is a lot of food for thought in the BBC series.  I couldn't help but be reminded today of Delphine,
a character in Mr. Selfridge who really didn't turn out to be a true friend to Rose.
While Delpine posed herself as a friend she had other motives behind the scenes.
The cup and saucer are marked "Delphine" - in fact I think I have a couple of  "Delphine" cups and saucers and while I may love these I wasn't impressed with her at all!   Do you think she was a real friend?  No way!

I am home sewing today and enjoying making some things for my shop.  It is cold but the sun is out and the snow will probably melt later this week.  Are you keeping busy this winter?

I hope you have a lovely week:  March is finally here and that's something to celebrate!  We are happy to be passing through a bit of a crisis.  My husband has had hives for 6 weeks but is finally improving.  Thank you Lord!

Bernideen, your Brown Bettys are really cute with their band of pink and green. I have yet to find one. You always bring a charming table to your fellow bloggers each week. I'm glad your hubby is on the mend. Hives wouldn't be very much fun. Thank you for joining me for tea today.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Bernideen,
Your new figurines are gorgeous! Just my taste! I love your teacup hanger too. I really need one of those - my cabinets are full and what a pretty way to display your pretties! Your china is always so beautiful! I can't wait for spring! Thank you for hosting Tea Time today! Karen

Hi Bernideen! I love those earthenware teapots as well...they are definitely homey...or as the Brits say, Homely! I love Delphine teacups, but not the character. Lol! Not a sweetie at all! Thanks for hosting and for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Sorry to learn about your dear husband! Hope they go away soon, that's so not fun. My husband gets them if he ever is scratched by pine needles. Which he is a lot when mowing.

Love all your china and that new teapot is perfect with the pink one. I have never seen a fancy BB one before!

Thanks for hosting. Busy indoors, too cold and way too snowy for me outdoors.

I love both of your pretty teapots, Bernideen. That sweet band around them really dresses them up. I just have a plain Jane one, but I love her. All your teacups look like you're ready for spring. Thank goodness that your hubby is over the hives, after six weeks. Poor guy!

That Brown Betty teapot is really cute!!! I love it. You just have the sweetest things and I know that part of the collection is the joy of finding them.

Glad hubby is over the hives. Can he still get the shot for them? I got one when I turned 55-to prevent an outbreak. My DIL had hives horribly after their son was born. I felt so sorry for her- a new mom and hives. She was in so much pain.

Blessings...thanks for another pretty post- xo Diana

Glad to hear that your husband is finally experiencing some relief from the awful hives.

I've marked my calendar for the return of Mr. Selfridge later this month and the premiere of the new show, Wolf Hall in early April.

I have a Sadler teapot very similar to that one. Picked it up at a mission store a few weeks ago to most likely sell on Etsy but it's so pretty I keep delaying doing that :)

The new tea pot is very pretty, matches with your pink one. I like the figurines too. I like BBC, there a lots of interesting program's.
I hope I could join your tea party next time. I'm just having problem with uploading photos to my blog from my husband's old computer.
Hope you have a happy weekend Bernideen.

Hope your hubby is all better now. Six weeks is forever when you're going through something like that! Glad to see you've found another "Betty Sadler" (as I shall now think of them) teapot! Of course, this means you need to find one more and then you'll officially have a collection!
