SHARING MY STORE

I don't usually share my store on my Bernideen's Tea Time Blog
but it has a new paint job  so I thought I would show it off:

It all started when someone naughty took a box knife and cut our awning which was red.  I know you realize that was not nice!  So since we were going to get a new one we decided to go with different colors outside which would better
 match our inside carpet.

I remembered a sign stored in our garage which was my first sign on my tiny shop in Spring, Texas.  I wasn't sure if the colors would work but this morning a sign company mounted it on the front of the building.  The sign is from 1987 but we haven't used it for over 20 years.  I don't remember the lady's name who painted it but she also painted a few smaller ones for me which I still have.

Hope you have a great weekend!

THE FALL MANTLE

Today I am sharing the mantle scarf I made yesterday:

I measured the top of the mantle and added more for the drop and sides and using off white burlap cut and hemmed a "base runner".  Then I sewed old vintage doilies on this beginning in the middle and then the sides across and ends.

I hope your weekend is lovely!

FALL TEA BY THE WINDOW for "Friends Sharing Tea"

I hope your week is going well and you are enjoying a
wonderful fall!  I've poured you a cup of tea and I
have a muffin for you here by the window:

I hope you can sit a spell and chat.  Outside the leaves have pretty much dropped and need to be racked...............................
oh well!

Let's stay here where it is cozy and warm as temperatures are in the 50's today.  I am sharing a little Royal Worcester Game Series tea set I have had for over 20 years.  I found it in Montgomery, Texas years ago.  This week I found 2 bread and butter plates to match at an antique mall for only $3.00 each!  I was so excited.

I really admire the blogs that are very soft and pastel.  I can tell you I have tried to be softer and love shabby chic.  It isn't working.
I don't know what happens but when it comes to fall I love to bring in some orange.

Some of you remember this silly owl I made last year:

Scarecrow lady guarding my front door:

ANOTHER FALL TEA IN THE GARDEN

The weather outside is simply gorgeous today and we are able to enjoy another fall Tea In The Garden:

This is one of the 3 tiered Afternoon
Tea Trays my husband recently made:

We have been enjoying a wonderful fall and many of the leaves have dropped in my front yard but in the backyard the cottonwood trees still have some green.

You will be surprised at the tea we are going to drink because it is actually Darvilles Christmas Tea we are tasting.  It was so good I poured myself a big mug full while I was taking pictures!

I have found several of these old afghans while going to the flea markets and antique malls.  I found this one recently in Missouri!

If you are a tea blogger, I hope you can join in the fun today by linking below at the bottom!  I would encourage everyone to visit all these lovely tea bloggers!  Please include a link to this post as well on yours!

I always share my posting with some other blog parties as well:

MAKING AFTERNOON TEA TRAYS

This week my hubby has been making tea trays for
my shop and I just have to share two I am keeping:

If you have a drill - you will need the glass/china bit for it.  Expect to break some and one will only last so long.  My hubby made 7 sets on one bit but broke another pretty early on.  Don't buy the cheapest bit either as it won't last!

COLLECTING ENGLISH BONE CHINA CUPS AND SAUCERS

Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite
English Bone China cups and saucers.
I display them in this old armoire my husband worked
removing the doors and painting shabby chic:

These are my two newest ones below - hand painted.  The one on top is a Rosina and the one below is "Carnival" Royal Albert Crown China (before 1939 with that backstamp)

On the top left is another Rosina:

In the back area you can see my Germany tea set
I have shared before with the wildflowers:

This cup and saucer below is a Tuscan and I have two like this
 plus two others
 with gold instead of silver.

I am fond of Sadler teapots (like many of you) but the one to the right below is a Roslyn and the tea cup below it matches it:

I do love the hand painted ones:  like this Delphine on the left....

the one to the right is a Royal Standard:

Many collect this pattern below - Royal Albert "Serena":

I know my tea blogging friends will recognize many of these from various posts I have done.

SWITCHING BACK TO "Friends Sharing Tea"

Our weather today has called for a change - it's time to switch back from "Tea In The Garden" to "Friends Sharing Tea"!  Last night we had 20-40 mile an hour winds bringing
down most of these leaves that you see here.
I took this photo the day before:

It seems like a good morning to sit here by the window where it is warm and cozy and have our tea:

Although I don't even have napkins or silverware out, I did set the dining room table with some mix and match transfer ware.  I think I am more of a mix and match gal.

I found this little whimsical sugar bowl below on my trip to Missouri in the little town of Rocheport.  Their population was 199 but their were tourist there that day viewing this old town.

Do pour yourself a cup of tea....
