STRAWBERRY "TEA IN THE GARDEN"

Good Monday morning and what a lovely morning it is as the sun rises up in my backyard garden.  I don't have a big garden but the one I have I just love looking out at from my kitchen window.  It brings me joy!  Today we are having some strawberry tea in the garden:

Welcome to my Beatrix Potter Cottage Garden!  Have a seat here at the picnic table and we can chat a bit.

I am not sure how I got this fascination for these fun doilies.  I seem to be drawn to them like a magnet.  I have shared my little cottage Japanese teapot before.

I am sharing with you a couple of denim tote bags I sewed yesterday afternoon for my shop.  This one has an old crochet potholder basket on the front. (actually to hold the potholders)

And this one has part of an old yoyo piece on it and I have many more to do.

I have some strawberry tea for you so please pour a cup and enjoy using this little strawberry spoon!  I hope you like the linens I have chosen and of course they have embroidered strawberries.

I always love sharing my blog post with these blogger friends:

I hope your day is lovely!  If you are a blogger, please join me below by linking a post from your blog about tea time!  Of course, tea in the garden, on the deck or patio, etc is always fun to see!

You have a charming garden, Bernideen. It has been cold and rainy here for days so I'm keeping cozy indoors. Your linens are lovely and the teapot is a treasure for sure. Thank you for sharing this and joining me for tea. Have a beautiful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

I am in love with your yard....it is just gorgeous! That pretty crocheted grape piece caught my eye, I have one like it (except the grapes are purple) that my mother made back in the 50's. Hugs, Penny

I love your garden setting, Bernideen! It is so magical and I would love to sit and chat with you. The old door looks beautiful in your yard. Of course, all your linens are spectacular, and I especially love the strawberry ones. Your denim purses turned out so cute with your special touches. Thanks for hosting your party. xo

What a lovely garden, a very special setting to show off all of your tea pots and cups. I found was very special the wooden bird house then I saw that wonderful bird bath. it was the crown of the garden.

I'm so jealous of tea in the garden. It's already too hot here to be outside very long. Love your linens .. the hand embroidery is wonderful and the doilies -- crochet loveliness! Your bags are very clever. Love strawberries. Happy Tea Day and thank you for hosting.

Your BP garden is filling in nicely already and looks inviting with the tea table set up beside it. I always love the linens you share and the teapot is perfect for a tea with a bit of whimsy.
Does that old door stay out all winter Bernideen?

Just remembered I forgot to comment on the "basket" pot holder. Actually it was a "holder" for pot holders. I had one awhile back. I even used the set as sort of a pattern and made myself another one.
The basket would hold one pot holder tucked in
on each side.......

Your garden is simply divine - and the table setting is precious. I love all the dishes and the linens - especially that cute strawberry tablecloth. I might try drawing some strawberries like that and stitching a cloth for myself - it is just delightful.

I adore your yard!

I have a little Japanese teapot almost exactly like that. My sister gave it to me about a year ago and told me it had been our mothers at one time.

Amazing!

If someone ever asks what your superpowers are, you can certainly say they include sewing the prettiest tote bags and collecting the prettiest doilies!

Bernideen you out did yourself with your garden tea. I love the door, the doilies and all your afternoon tea table. Cute cottage tea pot, I've been a collector of place mats and get jokes from the family over them. Sweet denim bags I didn't see the yoyo is it the button? Sorry somethings just don't jump out at me, at least you know i've read your blog, lol.
