FRIENDS SHARING TEA and Krispy Kreme Donuts

If you are already laughing - not to worry as I am laughing with you!  This  past week or two I have been at the sewing machine making things for my shop.  I haven't baked which is something I usually do regularly.   My husband and I spent Sunday afternoon in Denver which is about one hour north of us.  We always stop and get some Krispy Kreme Donuts on the way home. They took them hot right off the conveyor.  Oh my goodness what a treat.  I am also sharing the owl I finally decided to keep - the 4th one I made.  He has pieces of an antique collar sewn on the front of him.

I have shared my Bittersweet tea set before.

Please have a seat here by the window and enjoy some Strawberry Tea which I have drinking lately and really enjoy. Help yourself to a Krispy Kreme too!  I have what I would call a "Krispy Kreme Confession".  Here it comes!  About 10 years they opened a Krispy Kreme here in Colorado Springs (which has since closed).  I had gotten a root canal at the Endodontist nearby and was done.  Afterwards, I stopped at the Krispy Kreme and even though I could barely open my mouth I managed to eat 2 Krispy Kremes! Oh boy!

I know many of you are now enjoying fall in your areas and the changing of the leaves has begun.  So here is a little poem I have written for you :

Fall is in the air -
Don't say "I really don't care"
Get out - go forth - find time to see
This beauty everywhere.

Soon you will be inside
With winter on the rise
Sipping your cup of tea
Remembering the fall you now see!
Bernideen

I wanted to share some really cool fabric I found in an antique mall.  It was an old drapery panel probably from the l950's or l960's.  It has hunting dogs on it that are trying to catch pheasants. I made this tote bag out of it.  The crochet is also really old (I cut up a pair of crochet cuffs and also a crochet tie belt).   I found the fabric to be so interesting.

If you are also a blogger, I hope you can join me below and link a post to your blog about TEA.  Please include this post in a link on your post as well.  Hope your week is productive and relaxing!

What a lovely area to sit and have tea. I must tell you that I LOVE Krispy Kreme's I could eat until I get sick - especially love the cream filled ones.
The tote bag is really nice and looks so good with the lace on it.
Have a great week and have a donut for me.

Strawberry tea sounds delightful with your donuts! That is a cute little owl wearing his lace collar. I LOVE the hunting dogs tote, must be the English in me. I am always attracted to scenes like that. Beautiful post today and thanks for having me.

Hi Bernideen! Lovely tea today - and those Krispy Kremes - yum! So bad for you but delicious! Fresh from the oven is best, too. Sweet owl - isn't it hard to part with our little creations sometimes? Glad you kept him. But, I want to know about the owl in the center photo of your header. Is he real??
Joy to you!

Hi Kathy:
So glad to linked to Friends Sharing Tea. Yes, indeed that owl landed on my birdbeeder on a rare rainy day and I have never had that happen before. Here is the posting: http://blog.bernideens.com/2013/09/owl-invite-you-for-friends-sharing-tea.html

Hi dear Bernideen! Your owl is so cute and stylish at your table. You are "sew" talented. I'd love to sip some tea with you and share a donut. That was too funny about you eating two after a root canal. xo

Such pretty tea cups and thank you for your invitation to share tea and a donut with you - kit looks delicious - I now understand how you couldn't resist even after the root canal procedure! LOL

Love Krispy Kreme, but alas there is not one nearby (whew!).
The dog print is wonderful. I once had a chair reupholstered that
had belonged to my grandfather and underneath the outer fabric was
a scenic fabric similar to this. What a surprise. I made pillows for
several family members. Love your owl and your living room looks so festive.

Hi Bernideen, Wow, I loved seeing your sitting room. That is a beautiful room and just perfect for having tea in. We always show the cups and the table but so rarely the whole room. This was a treat for me. :) I also love the tea set, but please don't talk to me of those doughnuts...the devil's food!!! The closest one is on the way to Seattle and you bet that each time I cross the border that's the first stop I make...lol. Have a lovely rest of the week and hugs.
Oh, PS, I love that little owl. She's absolutely perfect for this time of year. Now I want to go make an owl for Halloween. :)

I enjoyed your tea this week Bernideen and like the new owl too. I guess I'm just not a donut person, tried a Krispy Creme once but deduced it was just another donut.
Hopefully I'll make tea next week, I'm still battling a bit of a flu bug.

Hi Bernideen, love the owl that you decided to keep! I am laughing that you managed to woof down 2 krispy kremes after a root canal. lol! When ever I am by the Krispy Kreme closest to us (which isn't often) I look to see if the sign says 'hot now' Oh they are so yummy and easy to woof down two! Thanks for sharing with SYC. Thinking I will do a witches tea and link up next week.
hugs,
Jann
