TIME FOR IRISH SCONES for "Friends Sharing Tea"

Me thinks that I might smile,
If I visit the Irish Isle.
When I gets to go -
I will let you know!
Silly Bernideen

I am celebrating my 1,000th post TODAY!

This morning I baked some Irish Scones for my Bernideen's Tea Time Blog and set up a little tea.  These scones have apple and raisin in them and the recipe came from a site I found on line that is wonderful called Little Shamrocks and you can find lots of great recipes there.  This recipe was originally from Claridge's Hotel in London and called IRISH RAISIN-APPLE SCONES.

Please sit here by the window and have a cup of tea and a scone - I have some English Clotted Cream for you that you will  love.  I don't think the Irish will mind. The tablecloth was made for me by my Grandmother who loved to embroider.  Since it is a rather bright green - it is perfect for St. Patrick's day.  I also recently found the little green doily to match....

As we await spring, there is so much to do....we have been doing some major going through at our house and basement where things have gotten a bit "out of control".  Yesterday my husband started in the garage - you know what I mean.......spring projects.

Today is "Friends Sharing Tea" and I invite all tea loving bloggers to join the fun by linking a post you have on your blog about tea.  Would you mind also, include a link to this blog on your post.  I always enjoy looking at all the fun things everyone creates.

I am also linking to:  Tea Cup Tuesday and Tea Time Tuesday and Tuesday Cuppa Tea and Tea Cup Tuesday with Martha and A Return to Loveliness and Share Your Cup Thursday and Thursday's Inspiration and Home Sweet Home

I hope this week this a good one for you!

Hi Bernideen,
thats a nice St. Patricks themed table. Your nice poem made me smile. How cute to be a bit silly sometimes. I never was in Ireland but I have an Irish girlfriend. Irish scones sounds wonderful. And the tablesetting is so very nice. Congratulations to your 100th post! Whow, its amazing when I think, how much work it is to set such a post. Thank you for sharing all those wonderful tables and for hosting this event. Happy St. Patricks Day!
Best greetings, Johanna

Congratulations on 1000 posts Bernideen. I like your tea table this week but have to admit I was eyeing up that rug on the floor with the purple in it. :-) Your grandmother's embroidered tablecloth is lovely.
You have given me an idea by using the shamrock cookie cutter for scones - I'm baking for a church event this weekend and they would go over well instead of sugar cookies.

Hello Bernideen!
I absolutely LOVE those treats. I have never seen shamrock-shaped scones. A bit of a tongue twister. Lol And, the recipe sounds wonderful. Black currant tea is wonderful, too! YUM!!! Wish I could share in your scrumptious tea.
I just realized I have the exact teapot as pictured in your header. It's a Sadler and I just adore it.
Happy, happy St. Patrick's Day and thank you for hosting!
