CURIOUS ABOUT DOWNTON RECIPES?

Today while searching around online I came across this site which I found interesting - recipes from Downton Abbey episodes:

If you are planning a special dinner or afternoon tea- this could be HELPFUL! Remember Lady Cora wanted Mrs. Patmore to make Charlotte Russe but Mrs. Patmore wanted to make her

Thanks for the link. I checked out from the library the Unofficial Downton Abbey Cookbook but there aren't any photos at all in the book...

I have this book -- great British recipes but in cups and teaspoons rather than drams and such as so many British cookbooks are! And next week I'm teaching a Downton Abbey tea class -- making scones and then having the proper tea foods for the guests to nibble on -- cucumber sandwiches, Victoria sponge, etc.

And I HAVE NOT made anything from it as yet but I will be taking it to my class!

Hi Bernideen, I'm hosting a Downton Tea for 22 ladies at my home Sunday afternoon. It will be such fun as I expect everyone to show up in some character's costume. I will be Martha Levinson, Rich American Granny! We even have one of the husbands coming as The Butler! Our topic of conversation will be "how to free Bates", and "What about poor Lady Edith!" We will have a trivia quiz for fun. One of our ladies found the Downton Abbey Cookbook, so we expect to have lots of goodies to share. Thanks for the link, it's always fun to find new recipes.

OH HOW FUN CARLA:

I think Patrick will receive some "facial improvement" surgery and return to Lady Edith and will prove himself to be the heir of Downton Abbey. Maybe I am nuts but this is me guessing. I believe Thomas killed Mr. Poumouk as spite. Mrs Bates? Not sure, maybe Sir what's his name - newspaper guy had her killed.

Thanks Bernideen, this will be some good reading. I was smiling at how you think the series will go and the who done it.
I hope Carla shares pictures of her tea.

Hi Bernideen,
I loved this TV Series, I have seen some and enjoyed the glimbse in former times. What a fun to have a tea party or a dinner with this theme. Thank you for the link.

I believe I'm the last American woman who has *not* ever seen this show! I feel so left behind--may have to buy the old episodes on DVD and get caught up!
