BREAKING FOR A CUP OF TEA

Last week was a busy time for me as I had a Holiday Tea Event at my store.  That means on Friday I bake all day starting early and ending late.   I have a strategy and a plan that is followed to the letter of the law.  By Tuesday I have the menu typed and printed and by Wednesday night the groceries are purchased.  I bake all day on Friday and finish up on Saturday morning...enough food for 75 people.  A reward for the customers who have supported my business through purchases.

I am so glad this is behind me now and time to show
off my new tea cozy and have a cup of tea!

Bev the "Queen of Tea Cozies" gave me this one below as a gift.  I had given her a number of vintage drapery fabrics to make cozies for my store (I pay her to do this of course) and I especially liked the green fabric.

I will be linking this post to:  A Delightsome Life's Return to Loveliness and also Tea Time Tuesday and Tuesday Cuppa Tea

And A LATE NOTE:
Since Beth asked about the food at my event:  I made 2 types of cheese logs from scratch, 2 bread bowl dips, Spinach Salad, Hot Pepper Peach Ham Biscuits, Little Smokies in Barbecue Sauce, 2 English Trifles, 2 Marmalade Loafs and  Thumbprint Cookies with Scottish Jam and 2 Cranapple Cranberry Crisp.

Hi Bernideen, What a special event you sponsored. I am hoping you tell us a little more about it. Glad you got snow! We need moisture too. They are talking about water restrictions for our area - that's crazy for wintertime! It does emphasize the severity of the drought.
Christmas blessings, Beth

Hello Bernideen
How kind of you to repay your loyal customers, and I'll bet they look forward to your Christmas event each year.
How I wish I could visit your store in person, it would be nice to browse all that you carry.
The tea cozy is nice and not something that is found easily to purchase.

What a wonderful event, Bernideen!

I sure would love to visit your shop one day!

I understand being happy it all went well and is behind you....I feel that way as we tonight (well yesterday I guess, I am typing this at 20 to 3am, haha) had our Candy Cane Gala dinner for the women's club, and my being an officer meant lots of beind the scenes worry and work. LOVED it, but glad it's over.

Happy Tea Tuesday!!

Oh, yum! I am glad Beth asked what the menu was! I do know how you feel - I planned our party out the very same way - although the meatballs I cooked a week ahead and froze were among the things I cooked ahead of time. Love the tea cozies -what a great talent - I hope you're enjoying a well-deserved rest - your customers must feel very special! My friend Maria will be hosting an appreciation evening tea next week - can't wait to go! I do appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness
