TITANIC MARMALADE LOAF FOR "Friends Sharing Tea"

Today I am sharing a Titanic Marmalade Loaf made from some special marmalade:  Grace's Titanic Marmalade made in the UK.  Actually - any marmalade will do for this tea bread.  This would be wonderful for your holiday Open House or family gathering and it is nice and moist.

I have two special "Friends Sharing Tea" Blog Parties coming up and would like to invite you to copy these logos below if you would like to participate!  One is for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas.  (our Canadian friends already had their Thanksgiving so they can post anything tea related)

I also had some lovely Harney special edition Titanic Blend Tea - a good hardy black tea!  This is perfect for a lovely cup of tea.

Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of golden raisins, ½ cup of Marmalade, ½ cup which is 1 stick of butter, 2 cups self rising flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice, pinch of salt and 1 large egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium size saucepan over medium heat, bring sugar, milk, raisins, marmalade, and butter to a boil.  Stir well and remove from heat to cool.  Line a bread pan 9 x 5 with wax paper and spray with Pam.
Beat flour, baking soda and spices with salt and egg and add marmalade mixture to this.  Stir well. (I also added 1/2 cup chopped walnuts here)

Pour into loaf pan and bake for about 45 minutes – watch the top and cover with loose foil as needed to prevent browning too much.
Let cool before cutting into slices – Yes – it will be moist!

Today is "Friends Sharing Tea"- a weekly Blog Party and other bloggers are invited to share a post about anything related to tea.  I DO ASK that you have a link to this post on your blog!  Please link below!

Hi Bernideen,
beside the recipe for the marmelade loaf sounds great for tea, I also love the Grand Concert tea pot. Its not easy to find all the eye candies on your vignettes. There are so many nice things to see. Your new header is so romantic. Thank you for the nice tea time and for hosting this wonderful event.
Best greetings, Johanna
