FRIENDS SHARING TEA

I have been listening to some beautiful old hymns lately - played  on the harpsichord,  mandolin and country mountain instruments that reflect the beauty of fall in a wonderful way. Over and over I hear "For The Beauty Of The Earth" and never tire of the phrases...truly fall is such a majestic time of the year.  Many people come to our area to see "the turning of the aspens" and enjoy a ride in the mountains.

For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
 over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.

Today I am sharing my Tapestry Cup and Saucer which I think reflects the colors of fall.  If you are a blogger...please join in "Friends Sharing Tea" each Wednesday by posting and linking something about tea.

There are so many teas that are spiced and have flavors that enhance a fall day.  I love the smell as a steaming hot cup of tea rises to greet me.  Take time to enjoy a nice cup today.  Tea will inspire you!

Our temperatures have been dropping in the 30's at night but our days have been lovely - perfect weather for a stroll and perfect to doing cooking and baking in the kitchen.

I am also sharing this post with: Home and Garden Thursday

One special request: No Witchy Type Posts please!

This is the prettiest post ever, Bernideen. I just want to reach in and touch your beautiful china pieces. So pretty. I love how you displayed the tea-cup and saucer. That is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Love this post. I'm going back to look at it again. Hugs, Deb

Hello Bernideen
I remembered to link this week, Wednesdays are busy for me and sometimes I forget.
Autumn is a tapestry of colours, isn't it? Your tapestry teacup and pillow are perfect then for an autumn tea and I'm glad I made it this week to join you. We've had temperatures dipping at night too and in the low 50's during the day. (I refuse to use the metric version that I didn't grow up with or vote to have) :-)
Thanks for hosting.

I sang in our church choir for years and For the Beauty of the Earth is one of my ALL TIME favvie favorites!

I stopped singing in choir when I moved - have yet to join up again, but after being so sick I think I permanently ruined my poor vocal chords! Oh well, I have music in my heart at least.

Thank you for hosting - I hope to be able to post something, but dashing off to many appointments today - we'll see!

Hugs!

Hi Bernideen,
lovely, lovely, that is all I can say. The tea cup has a charming pattern and all your vintage china is beautiful. The colder it gets outside, the more we need some heartwarming things around us. Thank you for this lovely tea time and for hosting this event.
Best greetings, Johanna

Hi Bernideen,
Such pretty things to look at today! Lovely teacup, so perfect for this time of year and your needlepoint pillow I love! When I saw it just now I said to myself that pillow was in Romantic Homes magazine when you were featured! Congrats! We've had snow, rain, and sun today! And guess what I've been listening to, soft Christmas instrumental music! Thank you for hosting your weekly teaparty and have a wonderful week.
