CUPS AND SAUCERS ON PARADE

I haven't been this excited about anything for a long time!  Well, my new camera is here - now I just have to learn how to use it - right!  Here are a few of my first pictures.........it is a Nikon D5100. Up until now I was just using a little Canon digital Powershot.  I really need to take a class now with my new camera but this morning I tried a few shots anyway.

You all know how I love doilies and this one is a butterfly doily.

I love the stained glass that hangs in my dining room window so I put it in this collage:

I have many cups and saucers but probably not as many as you might think.  I tend to value things that are "old" rather than new.  I love the English of course but I seem to find quite a bit of vintage Bavarian pieces...

I hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy your fall weather (if you have it) because winter is coming...

Hi Bernideen,
what a luck to have a new camera. Nikon D5100 sounds great. I also use a Canon Powershot but I am dreaming for a new model. Your photos are really good. I think you will learn the functions of your camera soon. Love your cup collection and the sweet butterfly doily.
Have a nice weekend,
Johanna

Beautiful teacups! Congratulations on the new camera. The doily is fun too and reminds me to pull out some of my table linens and doilies.

I love your tea cups and the doilies reminded me of all the ones my grandmother would crochet. Great photos, XOXO

Dear Bernideen,
That is one of my favorite songs and especially by Eva Cassidy. She does such a moving rendition of Autumn Leaves.
You asked about my lady and gent teapot. I bought it on ebay and it has no markings on the bottom but it does have a space. I believe it was a musical teapot-probably Tea For Two. Glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely post today.

Looks like you'll be a pro with the new camera. Have fun! Love all the pretty teacups and the pansies. I could have pansies all year 'round.♥♫

Congratulations on the new camera, it takes beautiful shots !
Your teacups are so lovely, delicate and feminine, fine bone china, they make drinking tea so much nicer :)
