A CUP OF TEA AND PRAYERS for "Friends Sharing Tea"

My prayers are with those who have experienced this devastating hurricane Sandy on the east coast.  Today for "Friends Sharing Tea" I offer my prayers and am reminded of a scripture:

Psalm 46:1  God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.

Today I am sharing my pair of antique English Staffordshire dogs I purchased 20 years ago in Houston, Texas. (an antique mall in The Heights)  I think I enjoy them the most in the fall.

This is an old coffee pot - well worn and used:

I am linking this post to: Rose Chintz Cottage  and also A Delightsome Life

If you have something to share about tea, please link at the bottom.
Especially pray for "Rizzi" at  the blog Gifts From The Sea who lives in New Jersey.

"God is our refuge..Amen". My prayers are going their way too. I'm from Queens, NY and I'm very worried for my family there and in NJ. They told us they're safe, except for heavy winds and some fallen trees. I hope it ends soon, I've never heard of this in the East Coast before!! Have a safe week.

Hi Bernideen,
I have been glued to the TV since last night, watching, praying for my American friends. Such devastation! My heart goes out to the folks on the east coast of the US. So far, we just have some windy conditions, so I am thankful for that.

Your chintz teacup is very sweet and so are the pooches attending your tea! Thank you for coming to tea and have a beautiful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello, Milady Bernidieen - and thank your for your prayers covering those of us in Sandy's path. I'm in South Jersey - just 40 minutes from ground zero of landfall. We are fine - kept power throughout and no problems at all - but how tragic to see the devastation of our beach-fronts and know the ramifications of this socially, culturally, environmentally, and economically to come in our state. So glad hubby and I took a drive to the Ocean City boardwalk a couple weeks ago, spending a delightful day at a favorite place - now flooded with roads washed out. So many of the beach islands and all those lovely homes and shops and vacation places cut off. Many are suffering - may they look up to seek fresh refuge in the Lord and allow Him to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

A word about your teacup - delicate and lovely and such a great selection for a fall teatime to cheer a saddened heart.
Joy!
Kathy

Your Psalm is so appropriate and holds so true. I'm also praying for the dear people in the path of the storm. I can hear the waves of Lake Superior pounding the shores here from inside my house. I can't imagine how the storm sounds on the coast! Your tea today is so pretty. Beautiful teacup and your doggies so cute! Thank you for this lovely tea party.

Hello Bernideen
I like the shape of your teapot, it will hold lots for us gathering today.
I think Sandy has been on everyone's mind and a strong prayer chain is needed for those in the affected areas.
We only had strong winds and rain, Toronto had some storm damage.

Your tea post today is thoughtful and beautiful! The tea cup is very sweet. I have the very same print that you have of the Victorians at dinner! I love that image so much!
Blessings on those who have suffered because of this storm.

Hi Bernideen,
Thanks for hosting! My prayers are with everyone effected by the damages of the storm. We had very high winds...80 kms causing blowing debris, fallen trees and power outages. Have a safe week.

Love your doggies and teacup!

Blessings,
Lisa
