TAKING A "HOLIDAY" AT A DENVER BAKERY AND ON TO ANTIQUING

Yesterday we took a "Holiday" as our Canadian friends say and went antiquing in Denver, Colorado.  Our first stop was "The Barn" in Castlerock and by the way - a new "Barn Too!"  has opened next door with fabulous antique pieces!  Then on to The Corner Bakery Cafe  in Denver and I couldn't resist taking a few photos of their outdoor patio flowers below:

And what did I find on this antiquing venture?  Well...some lovely vintage drapery panels to use as  fabric I plan to use for purses and tea cozies for my store.  I will make the purses and have my sewing Queen Bev do the cozies.  Also I found a wonderful Bavarian Teaset I plan to show you this week for Tea In the Garden!

The flowers look as if they were growing in Vail or Estes Park!! The mountain towns always have such gorgeous flowers. I think it's because they don't get as hot but are closer to the sun. I'll have to talk Sarah and Alex into taking me to this cafe. They spoil me so if I ask, they make it work.
Can't wait to see the other lovelies from your trip.♥♫

Hello Bernideen
Well, you brought a smile to my face - I didn't know 'holiday' was a Canadian term. 'Eh' at the end of a sentence for sure. :-)
The flowering baskets are full and look lovely and I'm sure you had some goodies from the bakery.
Looking forward to seeing your new tea set.

It's nice to take a 'day trip'or day off as we call them here. We spent ours around the Cavendish-New London area where all the Anne and LM Montgomery sights are.
Sounds like you had a lovely time. Enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

The beautiful hanging baskets remind me of Victoria, British Columbia. Glad you were able to have a day to yourself!
