"OPEN HOUSE" IS BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! Finding Treasures is always fun!

I know that many of you love to do what I love to do!  Get in the car and go hunt for VINTAGE TREASURES!  Yesterday we spent the day going North above Denver to some places we hadn't been to for years.  Yes- we got lost once but hey....that's to be expected...right?  I was thinking about finding a piece like the one lower right below to paint shabby chic to put on top of a Victorian mantel.  This one is under "consideration" and is an old organ top.
I also saw 2 old buffet tops with mirrors that would work.

Along the journey we took a little time for Blackberry- Raspberry pie below and sat outdoors for a break.

Some of you remember the set of 8 Johnson Brothers Windsor Ware plates (Harvest Fruit Pattern) I got last year for fall - Thanksgiving and I found one more for the set which is good in case I break one sometime. I posted about it right here:
http://bernideensteatimeblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/wonderful-old-johnson-brothers-windsor.html

I don't know about you but if you really live - things do get broken along the way.

The Hobnail Vase below is my second one - hubby broke the first one so I was glad to find a replacement for bouquets!

I am so enjoying the German teaset I got earlier in the month and you can read a post about that here:  http://bernideensteatimeblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/wildflower-teaset-for-tea-in-garden.html

I also found a great glass cake platter to add to my collection which is ? Not sure, but I have quite a few and you know how wonderful they are for Afternoon Tea Buffets!

I am late for "Open House" but would love to have you link below - perhaps a post you have on Antiquing, Home Decor, Crafting, Gardening or Cooking - please link up the post below!  Would love to have you!

today I was as seller on a craft market. Therefore I am late to link in your wonderful party. What a funtour it must have been to look for antiques. Your new find is beautiful. Love the fruit decor. And the German set is fabulous. I really love this design. Thank you for sharing your treasures and for hosting this event.

Hello Bernideen,
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! You found some lovely treasures! I love your Autumn fruit plates; so pretty! I hope you do get the old organ top. Carolyn Aiken found one and she painted it. It is above one of her mantels and it is just beautiful and makes a fabulous place for displaying her Christmas village and all sorts of things.
Thanks for hosting and have a splendid weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello Bernideen
An inspiring post on the treasures we find and cherish. I love looking at antiques, not for anything in particular but always know when something special is calling to me.

Great treasurers -- and yes, I would buy any spare plates I found -- for we do live with our things and accidents happen and Replacements Ltd is a very expensive way to replace the broken!

You have some wonderful treasures, Bernideen! I love your fall china and the cake plate, and enjoyed seeing the floral hanging baskets which are so full of color! I will be in CO soon. Perhaps I can stop by...not sure, as we'll be in another city, but perhaps!
Hugs, Beth
