BEING THE HEAD GARDENER AT GARSINGTON MANOR

Do you watch Jane Austen movies or how about Downton Abbey?  The great "homes" - really like castles - of England abound in  these movies and we get to journey to them without really visiting them.  Even Hilltop Farm in "Miss Potter" makes one feel like the Lake District would be a wonderful visit.  The new issue of THE ENGLISH GARDEN MAGAZINE features an article and gives you a glimpse of what it would be like to be the head gardener at Garsington Manor.  The gardener is Hannah "Gardner".  What a great name for job!  And this is her design:

You might like to pick up a copy of The English Magazine to see a full time gardener in action!  Also, in this issue, an article on the garden at BUCKINGHAM PALACE!

Wouldn't you just love to enjoy a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace? Guess we'll have to stick with magazines and our imagination!

Very beautiful! I've always loved the English gardening style. Several years ago I followed a blogger who was a head gardener for a castle in England. It was so interesting --- but he's closed his blogging site to only a few now. I was just thinking about his blog earlier today. Thank you for sharing, Bernideen!
