TEA IN THE GARDEN

Welcome to Tea in the Garden and Mr. Jeremy Fisher was going to give you a WELCOME shout out - but he's busy smelling his columbines!

Mr. Peter Rabbit does welcome you as well!

I pushed the patio tea cart out in the garden this morning and set up a little tea.

My early morning lighting isn't to great so I think I need a better camera to overcome some of these problems.

We are finally having some beautiful Spring weather so I was out in the garden early this morning before going to work.  I so look forward to being "retired" and having the time for the things I love!  I am often out till almost dark trying to do my garden work.

Because many of you have commented and asked:  the foxgloves are recent entries from Home Depot!  Foxgloves are biennials and usually are already in their second year when they are blooming in the pot!  I might get one or two to return in the garden but rarely. They are my first love - I got that from Tasha Tudor!  I do find that delphiniums are great at coming back!  In that sense they are probably a better investment.  I DON'T BUY ANNUALS.

I have a new book to share today - "London's Afternoon Teas" by Susan Cohen....you would enjoy reading about all the great tearooms in London.  I was surprised that most serve a very  contemporary looking style tea. What a treat to visit them.  I was especially charmed by the High Tea of Highgate Tea Room and would love to go there!

If you have posted tea (ON YOUR BLOG) in your GARDEN, PORCH, SUNPORCH, DECK OR PATIO - please join me by linking below!

Bernideen,

You have the prettiest gardens and the most loveliest of spots for tea!

Just look at that bird teapot, and your beautiful tea cart, linens, and all the fun whimsical garden delights you have shared with us today.

Thank you for hosting this wonderful link party. It is such fun to see everyone's gardens and tea - does it get better than that?

Hello Bernideen
I still haven't been able to have tea in the garden yet so I'm sharing an indoor occasion. Hope you don't mind as I do like to join you for tea each week.
The bird teapot with the little guy on top is precious; I've been holding back on buying more teapots.
A word about retirement - you'll find yourself busier than when you worked. :-)

Wonderfully welcoming blog! Mr. Jermy Fisher seem to enjoy the flowers. Mr. Peter Rabbit looks out proudest accomplishments. Especially with pride, he shows his two carrots. Have your foxgloves already started to bloom? I love your beautiful teapot with birds motif. A perfect tea kettle for tea in the garden. I wish you a nice weekend! Zinnia

That was a very nostalgic but beautiful garden of tea! What we love about this garden is that it has a special place for making and drinking tea (at home or when we purchase from tea stores Saint Cloud )in a very fresh and natural way. We want to see more of your ideas!

Whoops I think my comment disappeared - if not apologies.

Please tell me about your wonderful bird teapot - I think I need to have one as well. Thank you.

answer to question: this teapot is from maybe 5 years ago or so at my store - no longer available. Sorry.
