AN EASTER TEA FOR "FRIENDS SHARING TEA"

Welcome to "Friends Sharing Tea" which takes place here every Wednesday and today a special Easter Tea has been set for you and a special cake has been baked!

This morning I made a "Lily of the Valley Cake" from THE CHARMS OF TEA book which is still published in paperback.  I have an old hard copy and have been wanting to make this cake for a long time.  I still love these older Victoria books and this one is from 1991.

You might like to look this recipe up and bake it too!  I used lemon curd between the layers and it tastes wonderful!  My Lily of the Valley flowers are artificial but my daffodil is real! (put saran around the stem)

You are invited to join in next Wednesday for a SPECIAL 100th ANNIVERSARY TITANIC TEA PARTY!

If you have posted a special Easter Tea.....PLEASE LINK BELOW and join in the fun so we can come visit your blog!  I wish you a very HAPPY EASTER!

*Giggles* We think alike, Bernideen! I too made a cake with lemon curd in between the layers, but mine has coconut on top. Yours looks delicious! Looking forward to your Titanic Anniversary tea and as you know, I'm planning one too for the 15th. Hope you have a lovely Easter, my friend, with many blessings.

Hi Bernideen,
You've set a beautiful Easter tea. Your cake looks so delicious and I like how you used the cute flower in the center along with the lily of the valleys, my favorite. Beautiful post along with your beautiful music. Thank you for hosting this special party.
Easter blessings to you,

Bernideen,
1) Can you delete my entry? I want to redo it! I had accidentally put Judith's photo there and that's not what I meant to do!

2) Your cake looks beautiful, and so springy. I think it looks delicious, too.

Hello Bernideen
After reading Sandi's post as well about using lemon curd between cake layers, I am going to try it. I had hoped your cake recipe was included. Using fresh flowers for cakes adds such charm to them.
Your tea table is a breath of spring and I love the tipping china teapot. That would be much easier when it's full for pouring.
Happy Easter.
Judith
