BRING ON THE TITANIC TEA PARTIES!

I am so thrilled to see an interest everywhere in planning a special tea for the upcoming 100th Year Anniversary of the Sinking of the Titanic- April 14, 1912.  There are so many lessons that can be learned from the Titanic.  Have we learned them?

Today my Tea Time Magazines for March/April arrived and their was an article about the same thing with a listing of some of the places doing special teas.  I was disappointed that the MOLLY BROWN HOUSE IN DENVER wasn't in the list so here it is:
Sunday March 11th there will be 2 seatings for at full tea for $25.00 per person. Go HERE FOR INFORMATION

Be sure and get a copy of the new Tea Time.  Most tea rooms are referencing the book below which came out in 1997. I was hoping they would do a reprint this season and I am awaiting hearing back from the publisher.  Otherwise - this is the best resource for information on the menus of all three classes aboard the Titanic and a great assistance in planning an authentic menu.  There are some tea time recipes and other recipes could be modified into finger type foods.

Today I am linking to Kathy at A Delightsome Life and also Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday

I have been to two Titanic theme teas in the past and each was excellent. I'll look forward to receiving my new Tea Time magazine.

There is only one tea room within an hours drive of my home. I'll have to see if they are planning a 100th anniversary tea. Thanks for the book reference.

I was amazed the Molly Brown House wasn't included. It seems a perfect inclusion! I am looking forward to seeing photos of the various teas that will be afloat for the Titanic. As well as waiting to see what happens with the auction of the Titanic artifacts.

Hello Bernideen
Tea can be celebrated for most anything. I doubt the tea rooms in Canada will celebrate the Titanic but I'll check it out.
