HOFFMAN MEDIA HAS A NEW COOKBOOK: "SCONES AND TEA"

I've said it before - a girl can never have too many tea books.  Over 100 recipes - almost exclusively scone recipes fill this new edition from Hoffman Media and you will love it.  There are sweet scones and savory scones, glutten free scones and spreads!

This tea book features 12 tea rooms that will probably be mostly new ones that you have not read about - except for a couple of them!  It's nice to hear about interesting tea rooms and get their recipes to try - also a wonderful History of Tea section as well.   This book is moderately priced at $19.95.

This one is wonderful - thank you Hoffman for loving afternoon tea like we do!

Hi Bernideen
Yes, I too have quite a number of tea books and just ordered Anglea's new book. (Tea with Friends Blog)
Can't remember if I ordered Scones and Tea, I know I have 2 things coming from Hoffman Media so it will be a surprise. Also, a note to self, to write down what I order.

Definitely a scone girl here. That book looks very interesting. Lovely pictures, my mouth is watering already.

and to think that in the late 80's and early 90's it was hard for me to find a proper cup of tea in the States. You have embraced our tea culture and many over here have embraced your coffee culture.

Wonderful. I ordered one also...there aren't too many scones that can't be enjoyed...and never too many recipes to try!

Mmmm! The editor who chose the cover photo was pretty sharp - a great choice! Makes me want to pick that scone right off the page! I would have to adjust ingredients for gluten free, though . . .

Joy!

Thanks for the review, Bernideen, because I wanted to hear what others had to say before ordering this book. Sounds like a winner!

I was wondering if this was good.

When I went to a tea room in Newport News, Virginia on vacation, they served scones that were almost chewy instead of cakey.

I've never had scones like that before. Would love to find a recipe for those.
