FRIENDS SHARING TEA and can purple be a fall color too?

I love the combination of orange, brown and purple for fall!

and what about grapes - they are harvested in late summer and look so lovely still on the vines when the leaves begin to drop!

I don't have any grapevines in my yard but used to spend time every fall in the woods making my own grapevine wreaths with my friends. I got into poisonous sumac once in Burlington, Iowa pulling the vines off a telephone pole.  That was an itchy experience to say the least!

You have probably seen some of these crochet trivets in antique malls - they are crocheted over bottle caps.  I also make no secret about my love for vintage embroidery linens and crochet.

Today I am posting "Friends Sharing Tea" which is an opportunity for you to link up below and share something about tea.  I often go out in the morning and set up a little tea vignette in my garden or yard.  This bench is made from an old antique bed frame.

If you have something personal to share about tea (other than a selling blog) please join me below and please visit my blogging friends who have done special posts here!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Bernideen,

I'm glad I was able to join you this week. Yes, purple is a fall color too. Just love your outdoor tea setting and that old bed frame you are using as a bench.

With all the Halloween chatter and already the Christmas countdowns underway, it's so refreshing to find a place where Thanksgiving--a celebration that really is the heart of America--is counted down to! Loved your lovely place setting today. :)

Yes, orange, brown and purple is a lovely fall color combination and your photos are all so pretty. I really like the bottle cap grape trivets - I've never seen them before.

I REMEMBER THOSE TRIVETS, ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE ONE, BUT NEVER DID....AS A KID WE LIVED IN THE COUNTRY AND WE HAD A HUGE GRAPEVINE, MY MOM MADE JELLY AND JAM. I WOULD GET POISON IVY AS A KID, YOU DON'T SEE MUCH OF IT ANYMORE. HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND.

Dear Bernideen,
It's really so nice to be here,in your sweet and wonderful blog. Every time I come here, it's like magic for me, and I feel transported to a world with beauty, gentle and tenderness... Thank you so much for all those marvelous feelings!
I'm just a brazilian girl who lives very far away from you, in the city of Rio de Janeiro... And I'm always enchanted with your way of enjoying the beautiful and simple side of life... I know that more than enjoying a wonderful tea, when we sit and take a cup, with our love ones, we are celebrating life itself... And it talks so much to our hearts!
So, I decided to join you this time, with "my tea in the garden"... It's a very simple post of mine, and it's in portuguese, but I think that my images can talk too...
Thank you so much for this opportunity to participate, and it's really a great joy for me!
My brazilian hug for you!
Teresa

P.S. = I've put a small text in english at the botton of the post, just for a better view.

A lovely tea table and yes, we often forget about grapes and fall!!!! (Except perhaps in California when it's "crush" time!) -- lovely post and purple is a color of fall (think mums and asters as well as grapes!)
