I was recently blog hopping and read a comment by a lady who said "this is my tea corner". That meant "her" personal area where she had a tea nook if you will. I must confess - it's everywhere at my house and today I share a few photos from this morning. Since I have been married 43 years (I was a child bride of course), there has been more than a little time to collect! I loved antiques and began refinishing them the first year after I was married. They seem very "cheap" now. See that Queen Anne Style settee to the left? Back in the late 60's the entire 5 piece set cost $35.00. This included a settee, captains chair, rocker and 2 side chairs. You see one of the side chairs at the right. (I don't use some of the pieces - they are in the basement and I have run out of room.)
At this time.....I say "at this time" because I am a person who loves CHANGE.....I am using alot of purples, greens and a some pink in my home.
One of these days I am going to have some shabby chic white things in my home.
Today is not only TEATIME TUESDAY WITH SANDI - but also A RETURN TO LOVELINESS KATHY AT A DELIGHTSOME LIFE
This week I am planning a "slowdown" in activities - oh yes - I still have plenty to do -but I am ready for a slower pace!
This is one of the what not shelves I want to paint, below.
Well....this ends our walking tour of 2 of the rooms in my house!
I wish you a wonderful week!
