SAVORING SUMMER WITH A STRAWBERRY TEA

Today I was planning an outdoor picnic table tea but it is raining cats and dogs here - actually, we have had little rain so this is a good thing.  The fire danger is up very high and there is a fire down in Westcliff so I hope this helps!

I did want to share this fat little robin who jumped out of his nest and was sitting on some branches my husband had cut out of our front yard tree.  He wasn't quite ready to fly away yet....

I set up a lovely tea for you on my kitchen buffet and I hope you like strawberry tea...

If you are fortunate enough to have any "pick your own" places in your area of the country they are probably in season now- if not, there is always the farmers market and grocery!

I have some loose black tea with little pieces of dried strawberries in it...the smell is so lovely and it makes a wonderful pot of tea!  With all the problems in the world now - I suggest you take time everyday for a cup of tea and a moment of relaxation!

Today I am participating with Kathy at A Delightsome Life
and joining in with others to SAVOR SUMMER.  Please go visit them all!  I am also joining The Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday where you will have a lovely time!

Please help yourself to tea and cake and sit a while to relax!

Hi Bernideen, I'm visiting via Sandi's blog. Oh, your strawberry themed tea is delightful! Those are such big, pretty strawberries. I love the tablecloth and the teacups too. Wishing you a very nice week!

Hi Bernideen
Perfect timing for your tea theme - I was at a farm this morning picking strawberries. They are big and sweet this year and I did eat quite a few while picking.
The strawberry tea sounds delicious and a piece of cake with it would be very nice.
I too hope the rain contains the fires in your area.

Hello Bernideen,
what a beautiful strawberry tea set. Love the idea of a cup of such tea. I discovered a rose sugar tongs. Very cute, also.
Best greetings, Johanna

I wish I could actually sit down and have tea there. I am over my head into jam making (strawberries, raspberries, goosberries...) and I would love to sit down for a tea and a piece of that gorgeous cake. The pictures are so very mouthwatering. Greetings from a rainy Belgium too, Rozemie.

Hello Bernideen,
We have had the same conditions here. Seems every summer the sign at the forestry station posts HIGH for conditions for fire. We had a deluge last week too! Very welcoming - but messy!
Oh, my I do adore pick-your-own farms - especially strawberry farms! Yours look so big and beautiful! You have a gorgeous tea set - perfect to complement your strawberry dessert! Yes, fresh fruit and vegetables are the essence and delight of summer! Thank you for sharing this with Savoring Summer!
God Bless,
Kathy
