ENGLISH HOME AND ENGLISH GARDEN

I am excited when the mail comes and brings me my magazine subscriptions to English Home and also English Garden.  I love them both and yesterday the August issue of English Home came with several really wonderful articles....one was "Dressing The Table for English Tea" with recipes and a two page spread of a beautiful tea....

Recipes included:  Stilton and Fig Tart with Walnut Dressing, Smoked Salmon and Herb Creme Sandwiches, Coffee and Walnut Cake, Honey, Sultana and Pecan Tea Bread.

And here is another treat in this magazine - a section on roses and recipes for Rose Petal Punch, Sugared Rose Petals and Rose Hip Jam. There are numerous suggestions for using rose petals and rose hips as well.

I love these magazines as well -- but mine came earlier!!! And that coffee and walnut cake is delicious -- I've not made it but ate it while in England!!!

These are really neat magazines and a must for any person who loves England.

Lovely! I always pick up English magazines when I visit the UK. They have Good Housekeeping and Country Living in UK versions. And fro a splurge...Country Life. Boy does that look like a great issue!

Oooh, it's a delight when this magazine shows up in the mailbox ~
I've been a subscriber for almost fifteen years now, they surely take me back 'home' for a little while :)
The walnut cake is wonderful.
