BERNIDEEN SAYS: IS IT THE TEA WE LOVE THE MOST?

I never tire when the topic is tea......

Is it the taste of the tea we love the most or the shape of the teapot?  Perhaps it is the setting itself - in the garden or at the table?  All those accouterments are so lovely - perhaps those are our fancy!

I hope you will take time this summer to enjoy the aspect of tea that makes you the most happy!  Perhaps learning more about the different types of tea?  Do you love this?  Why not go out and find some new teapots in a local antique mall or garage sale?

Have a lovely tea filled day!  And take time to link to Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage    and    Kathy at A Delightsome Life

I think my love of tea includes, besides the tea, the pot, the cup, the accompaniments, the setting and, most of all, those who share it with me.

Best,
Bonnie

Yes, all of the above. The taste, the teapot, the pretty tablecloths, the excuse to invite a friend over, the history, a break from the cares of the day. :-) So many reasons to love tea. Your tea tables are always gorgeous.

For me my love of tea is more than just the tea.
I love that when I am drinking tea out of a pretty pot and cup it makes me feel dainty and ladylike (something I don't feel most of the time).

For me, tea time allows me to slow down and savor the time I have here in God's beautiful world. And we do have the best right here in Colorado! ♥♫

I was meditating on the idea of "pouring" this morning. I shall have to explore this further in a blog - but I just love to watch the tea pour from the spout. Yes - definitely a future blog topic at The Writer's Reverie . . .
Meanwhile - I love the beauty and variety in the pot and cup designs. Always something fresh and unique - like snowflakes.
Joy!

This is a great post..I love the taste of tea, teapots and teacups..arranging the tea table, thinking of fun food..it is hard to narrow just one but I guess it would be that I have made a point to "teach" tea time to my sweetie Sophia (age 7) and it has proven to be a source of calm, sweet, gentle memories for us and that is priceless!

Hello Bernideen,
What a great post! What do I enjoy about tea? Everything! The tea itself is an experience; like going on a little journey. I enjoy the way it looks as it pours from the teapot. The china, the flowers chosen to beautify the tea table, and the nibbles of course are important too, even if it's only a cookie. Somehow, sipping tea from a lovely cup makes one feel very special; an act of refinement, if you will.

I do love your pink and white teapot and the teapot with the English hunting scene on it. Thank you for sharing this with Tea Time today. You have given us all something to ponder.

Blessings,
Sandi

I stopped at your blog from Bellas Rose Cottage. Your blog is very beautiful and the music was spoiling my ears. Anyway I like jasmine tea, in peace I close my eyes, breathe deeply, and thankful for this life. It is a pleasure, luxury in simplicity. I also love vintage tea pots.

I LOVE YOUR POST, IT IS SO TRUE, I LOVE TO TRY NEW TEAS, TODAY I MADE A RASPBERRY ICE TEA, WITH FRESH FRUIT FLOATING AND A LITTLE 7UP TO GIVE IT SPARKLE, IT WAS SO REFRESHING. I MAKE A LUNCH EVERY WEDNESDAY FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER JACKIE, THAT IS THE BEVERAGE I SERVED TODAY. TAKE CARE, RIZZI

Bernideen, Your pink clematis is beautiful! Love your foxglove in the header pic too - those are another of my favorite flowers. I enjoyed your post featuring Martha - her blog is wonderful - so full of entertaining (with great style I might add), tea, goodies, travel, her garden...I have tried many scone recipes and my favorite is one that contains butterscotch chips. Happy 4th of July!
