HAVE YOU SEEN "LITTLE DORRIT"?

Recently, we watched some Charles Dickens classics: Oliver Twist and then Little Dorrit - wow, was that ever complex!  Rigaud scared me silly!  I had to watch Little Dorrit twice with a list of the characters to understand it. I think it is the most complex story I have ever "seen".  I have a NEW APPRECIATION for food, warm clothes and our daily freedoms?  HAVE YOU SEEN IT? There are 4 DVD'S in the set- so we watched it over the course of a few days!
Over 10 hours long......

Good morning, Bernideen! Yes! It's one of my favorite movies--my daughters all love it, too! It IS complex--I watched it a second time right away as well, but what a beautiful story!

Hope your day is lovely...

Yes, I have. It was very well acted, but it left me a bit unsettled at the end...the movie just moved to fast at the end.

YES! What a story, huh? Hubby even stayed awake for this one! I'm amazed at how complex it was, but it was totally captivating. Great group of actors/actresses too. It was well done. *sigh* I could watch it all again though.

I started watching it but since I wasn't paying full attention, was soon lost. I've heard the book is amazing.

However, my daughter (who is much better about such things as sitting and watching movies) loved it.

She watched it on DVD and as always with British movies, turned on the English subtitles. She says this makes it much easier to understand.

YES...we watched this last year as a family!! What a complex show for sure...Thanks for the reminder, we have been needing new ideas for Friday/weekend movie nights. I think I will pull that out again! On a very lighter note, yesterday I ordered the first year series of Gilligan's Island and the Brady Bunch, thought the kids would get a kick out of those! ha.. I hope I can appreciate them the way I did at 8...but 40 some years later, I may find them annoying?! ha

Hello Bernideen,
I have never heard about Little Dorrit but I guess, I should have a look because I love the stories written by Charles Dickens. Thank you for sharing this idea.
Greetings, Johanna

Watched it on television's PBS and liked it very much!!!

I'm now watching Downton Abbey on Sunday nights also on PBS.

It's wonderful. Beautiful costumes and interior rooms, and the acting is excellent!

Isn't it great that these programs are still being produced? So much better than garbage tv with all the killing and gross images.

Sweet blessings to you,
