TEACUP THURSDAY FALL PURPLES

I have shared this antique English cup and saucer with dessert plate before....but it is especially lovely in the fall when colors like ORANGE, BROWN AND PURPLE seem at their best show!

Those funny little doilies that  ladies made in the 50's - 60's with the bottle caps always made me smile!

Teacup Thursday is organized by Donna Spenser and her daughter who own a tea room in New Virginia, Iowa....Miss Spenser's Blog

As you may know already, I especially love old lines and this set is one of my favorite!

Hi Bernideen,
What a gorgeous teacup and linens! The teacup is truly lovely! I love the music you have on today! "Autumn Leaves" by Percy Faith is one of my favourite tunes and I would have had it playing on my blog if I had music. Unfortunately, I haven't learned how to put the music on. Therefore, I will just be happy listening to everyone else's. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Bernideen, your embroidered purple leafy table cloth and napkins are so beautiful! They look perfect with the teacup! And I have always thought those crocheted trivets were so cute! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

I just love that pattern. Can't you just see it being the fine china used in an English Estate in autumn???

An exquisite tea cup set. Is it old? The older ones are the best, to me. Lovely, lovely.

Hi Bernideen,
the cup and saucer ist gorgeous and so nice for the fall time. And as usual you have found matching napkins and runner. So nice! I was curious about the grape doilies but I thought they are oven clothes (is that the correct term?). What a funny idea to chrochet arount caps.
Greetings, Johanna

I enjoyed all of the purple things today, the cup and saucer and linens are pretty. I didn't know those doilies had bottle caps in them - how imaginative of the ladies from yesteryear.
