LATE SUMMER GARDEN JOYS!

I know this is silly but you have no idea how happy my Queen Anne's Lace has made me this summer......

I have had some successes and some failures in the garden...

Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck were right at home among the cabbages and lettuce....

None of my clematis did as well as last year .....so I'll just reflect with the 2009 birdhouse photo!  Are you ready for Labor Day Weekend?  Where has time gone!

I have a field full of Queen Anne's Lace it has quickly become one of my favorite wild flowers.
Yours looks right at home in the garden, I'm sure Peter would approve, after all it's a wild carrot ;)

I love queen anne's lace ... always have since I was a little girl and would pick huge bouquets of them for my mother. She always so sweet and acted so surprised and happy to get them! :)

The Queen Anne's Lace is lovely - reminds me of my childhood in Canada. That clematis is the prettiest I've seen.

Oh Bernideen, your garden looks so peaceful. I've tried growing Clemi's before but they just shrivel up and die. Your's is a dbl...how did you get it to grow so well?
