TODAY IS TEA TIME TUESDAY AGAIN !

Every Tuesday Sandi, who lives on Prince Edward Island invites bloggers to join her for Tea Time Tuesday.... if you would like to see others who participate click here

If you are just getting started at collecting tea sets, plates, cups and saucers, etc. you can begin with mix and match.  I know I talk about this a lot on my blog because for years that was all I really had and it is a great place to start!

These were the dishes that got me started back in the 1980's. I am not sure if I bought these from a lady or she gave them to me...I was in my 30's at the time and on a budget for sure!  It was an incomplete service for 4 so I just added other similar pieces to the set. You could do the same by watching yard sales, Goodwill, etc. This can really be fun - you might want to keep a little notebook in your purse recording what you find and what you need next to complete a certain number of place settings!  The lady I got these from was Frances Vollmer who is 91 now and lives in a nursing facility in Burlington, Iowa.

What a gorgeous table you've set with all the pretty china. It's always enjoyable visiting your blog. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a very nice comment. Thanks, too, for caring my teacup cards and stationery in your exquisite store.

I love your idea of collecting different sets of dishes. I have been collecting a three piece set. cup, saucer and dessert plate. I have enough to have a tea party for 12. In the fall I'm going to have a tea party with 12 women that I have known for 42 years. Awesome. ps. I love the look of the flakes on your blog.

Your dishes are so pretty and bring back memories of the lady who gave them to you. Wonderful.
