TEA TIME TUESDAY

I love encouraging people to get into the hospitality of tea.....

Really it's about enjoying the company of friends and relaxing together....spicing up your conversation with a cup of tea and a cookie, scone or piece of cake!

Today is Tea Time Tuesday and I participate with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage and Inspirations and others to celebrate the day!

Yesterday I showed photos and information explaining how you can cut up old linens and make some lovely folding chair covers for your garden tea party! In two weeks I will be having a tea party in my backyard and using all 24 sets.  I originally planned this particular event for last summer but health issues caused me to have to wait.  Now is the TIME!

I will be baking up a storm and serving Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, scones, tarts, tea, etc.  Everything homemade. If you are willing to make things from scratch - this means chicken salad and egg salad from scratch.  This means making scones from scratch and chocolate peppermint brownies from scratch or any recipes you have for Afternoon Tea Treats!!  From scratch means it is relatively inexpensive.  CONVENIENCE COSTS money!  Learn to do it yourself and save!

Visit Tea Time Tuesday friends for more ideas!

Bernideen,
it is so nice to see your beautiful photos with the tbale for a tea party. Yes, you are right, it saves a lot of money to make things from scratch. And if one will start early, a lot of things can be done days before and reduces the strech on the day of the party. And made from the scratch tastes mostly much better, too. I am so exited about your big upcoming tea party. I wish you sunshine for this day.
Greetings, Johanna

Good morning Bernideen,
Oh my, your tea party sounds like such fun and a wonderful experience too! I agree, homemade from scratch is so much better than bought. Your teascape is lovely and I love your chair covers! What a lovely way to use your linens. Thank you for sharing and I wish you a beautiful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello Bernideen :) Love the pretty covers you made for your folding chairs, and your tablescape is so charming. What fun to be hosting a tea with all your friends! Lots of work involved to be sure, but I know everyone will love and appreciate it all! Be sure to take lots of pictures for us ladies to see :)

happy "Tea" Tuesday!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

Bernideen, I know I have seen it before, but did you make the lace tea cozy? I just love that...and would love to have one.....

Have a fab tea party. You certainly have a great garden to have one in. I had a tea party not so long back, I posted about it on my blog. I agree making things from scratch is cheaper. Hugs Sara

Hi Bernideen! I always look forward to Tuesday Tea with you. :) I agree--convenience costs more! And I think it says love from the heart when you take the time to bake yourself anyhow. It's all about the planning! Hope you tea is lovely! :)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit because it lead me back here to your beautiful blog. Your chair covers are amazing, you made 24! What a woman. I adore the set of pink dishes you started your journey with. They are so delicate and. . .pink!
