"GUNPOWDER GREEN" HAS BLASTED OFF!

Wednesday night I finished reading "Gunpowder Green" and Thursday I started reading another Tea Shop Mystery, "Shades of Earl Grey"!  This means I have read 3 because I started with her last Tea Shop Mystery and then went back to the first!

In "Gunpowder Green"  I was very entertained when Theodosia received a threat that another tea room might be opening right in the historic district - right near her precious Indigo Tea Room.  IT BROUGHT BACK memories....years ago when I had a gift shop  in Spring, Texas I remember a gal stood in front of my counter and told me she was opening a store nearby and it would be exactly like mine....well, of course, her's would be bigger and better she implied!  I remember the shock of it all. Another time I went flying out the front door late at night going to empty the  trash and found my "competition" standing on the front porch looking in the window.   Other times I found another merchant going through the dumpster to read the company labels on our boxes. I don't want to bore you with more of this.......

of course my photo of the "fake" gun here isn't historically accurate to Laura Child's book but I just wanted some extra fluff for my photos......you will love the tea information in these books!

IT'S FUNNY HOW SOME PEOPLE ARE, THEY THINK NOTHING OF INTRUDING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S PERSONAL GAIN. HOW SAD.......
HAPPY TO HEAR YOU ENJOYED READING ALL THE TEA MYSTERIES. HAVE A NICE WEEKEND. RIZZI

Wow, Bernideen, you are a fast reader. I've been reading Chamomile Mourning for a week now and am still not finished. It's not that I don't love it...I do. I just read so many magazines that I don't have the time for too many books as well. I'm also reading a biography of Beatrix Potter, so between that book and the magazines, Chamomile Mourning doesn't get as many hours as it needs.

I loved your little photo shoot (pun not intended). You did a great job.

Blessings,
Patti

Oh love that photo, and yes it it so terrible when someone has to copy your creations and then flaunt it. I had someone do that with my blog title. It is very hurtful. The truth always prevailes. Love your blog and I know I keep saying that.

I was thrilled to discover the tea shop mystery series a year or two ago. I read through them all in one summer and have read the ones published since then. I always want to make a cup of tea or run to my local tea shop when I am reading one of the books. Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, I just found your blog, I have just discovered the Tea Shoppe Mysteries. Aren't they great. I have been averaging 1-2 books every 3 days..I am addicted to her books. She also does a scrapbook series also - they have those great recipes in them to..So sorry you have had to endure very rude/not so nice business owners..Just know the good always win in the end. God Bless.
