TEA TIME TUESDAY IS HERE!

Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday...I thought I'd share some of the arrangments I have been doing in teapots, etc.

The biggest mistake people make doing teapot florals is to make the top TOO big for the bottom and especially too tall.  Florals are like haircuts- styles change and right now the style is to stay closer to the container!  The size of the flowers has to be proportional to the size of the container.

You should pick up the colors in the teapot in the pieces you choose.  You never just drop things in - they should be arranged in oasis or strofoam.  Silks work best in strofoam.  Oasis is softer for fresh or dried flowers. These teapots do not have lids so that is why they are being used for arrangments.

This one is a large creamer!

Lastly...do you need a great Lemon Curd Recipe because I saw one today....at  http://www.completelydelicious.com/

What lovely arrangements and these are so great in in proportion to the tea pots! I like to do this when I find a tea pot without a lid, maybe broken some time along the way!

Your arrangements are beautiful Bernideen, and I'm grateful for the arranging tips since I can use them!

Also, I should have mentioned this the other day, but in December my blog address changed slightly. It's just teawithfriends.blogspot.com, so if you have the old one bookmarked it'll sit there a second before automatically shifting to the new address. Hope that helps!

Hello Bernideen darling, just popped in to once again thank you for the lovely award you passed on to me and to let you know that I just did a post about it. You see, I purposely did not include this award on my last award post because I wanted it to be a special afternoon tea posting because, you my luv are a very special friend to me. You were one of my early followers and to this date I remember your kind words of encouragement. So with this posting, I sign off for a week or so to get ready to travel back home. I have been staying in the states (California) far too long in order to look after my dad, so now it is time to go home. Thanks again my friend.

Love & Hugs
