A Valentine Dinner Coming Up!

With Valentines Day Dinner coming up I was experimenting with some table settings using different table cloths and decided on this one in the end.

I love having a little side table for dessert since my dining room is too small for a buffet. As you can see....we are still enjoying our Christmas tree!

I am sure Valentines Day will be here before we know it!  Winter is a time for good hot comfort food and I am thinking and dreaming of Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" and her recipe for BOEUF BOURGUIGNON"......as Judith Jones said ...."YUM"!!! Of course, I have to make my chocolate cake I love...from my 1/9/2009 post.

Just beautiful! You have such an eye for romantic settings! This is for the other bloggers ~ just to make them a little jealous ~ I was in your store again today. There is so much to see, to ohh and ahh over. It took me 3 visits to decide what to use my gift certificate for. And I just saw the movie, Julie and Julia last Friday and thought boeuf bourgignon would be a good choice for valentine dinner, with my chocolate pound cake! Kindred spirits... Oh, and thanks again for the tea strainer lesson. Sincerely, Jo

You have such an eye for putting together pretty things. I actually have some heart-shaped plats and some heart-shaped cake pans that were my mothers. I am going to make a marachino cherry nut cake with lots of gooey icing. Gotta do something in Feb - by then we've really had it with winter. Also planning a trip to the butterfly conservancy (indoor) for then.

A nice setting. If you have time do come over for a visit, tea is on the menu but not how you would expect.
