Cookbook Review - Stonewall Kitchen Harvest

I just read through the pages of this great cookbook, "Stonewall Kitchen Harvest" which came out in 2004.  This week I thought it would be fun to review some cookbooks on my blog.  If you love to cook like I do there is always something new to learn and the more I read - the more I realize how little I know. Time to learn more....

Whenever I open a great cookbook I find myself doing this:

I write all over the inside
cover as I go along reading and seeing all the great recipes.I knew this cookbook was a winner when I saw individual information on things like, figs, rhubard, mangos, pomegranites, mushrooms, etc.

I love this cookbook.  It has WONDERFUL RECIPES YOU WILL LOVE!  I can't wait to try some of these - actually alot of these!  This book is also very practical - like how to make your own pizza dough and a great recipe for a flourless chocolate cake. I had already sold the cookbook below in my store because we sell some Stonewall jams and jellies, chutneys and such in our Gourmet Pantry.   The cookbook below uses many of the Stonewall products as ingredients in the recipes whereas "Harvest" is basically just a fabulous cookbook that features fresh garden produce, etc.

What a great idea to write the recipes you want to try on the inside cover...never thought of that before! Also good to know about Stonewall's products. I have always thought their jellies looked yummy, but have never had a chance to try them out. Anxiously awaiting your recipe review this week...how fun!

GOOD MORNING BERNIDEEN,
I ALSO LOVE COOKBOOKS, I WANT TO MAKE A FAMILY COOKBOOK WITH ALL THE RECIPES FROM MOMS, GRANDMA'S, AUNT'S AND ETC. SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF WORK, HOPE I CAN MANAGE IT. YOUR COOKBOOK LOOKS LIKE IT HAS SOME GOOD OLD FASHION RECIPE'S.
IT'S GOOD TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY. YOU HAVE A LOVELY BLOG. HAVE A NICE DAY.
