Brewing Rose Hips for Tea!

Have you ever made Rose Hip Tea? This morning as I left for work it was spitting snow! Several roses lingered outside the kitchen window. After the rose blooms out, the center forms a rose hip. Did you know you can brew them for tea? Just don't cut them open - let them remain whole and brew at least 10 minutes!Find a comfortable spot and enjoy!

This is interesting to know!
I hope we don't get the snow here in Kansas...it seems too early for me.

God bless and stay warm.

I have never made my own rose hip tea, but I have had some that others have made and it is so good. Wished I had some right now. It is so cool today.

My hubby said that if we keep getting rain like this and the cold comes we will get snow this winter. So I better get outside and collect some rose hips and try rose hip tea. How many would you need for a cup/teapot? I think that I'll enjoy it with the cool weather now while I sit back and watch the leaves fall from the trees.

No I never done this, for I was not sure how long the hip should stay on the rose. lol I always wanted to. Your home looks so cozy and I see you are ready to have a cup of tea with cake. Keep warm, I'd love to see the snow in Colorado. You have to be an expert driver. Here we all stay at home if we have an inch of snow. Which is rarely, but it is so fun when we do get a little snow.

I love your site. But where do you get the birds and butterflies that are flying around? That is so cute to me.
