Adding to Your English Tea Set!

In my conversations with people I often find confusion over the use of mass decals on English tea sets. Generally, standard old patterns are ongoing with multiple factories in England and the most popular ones survive the decades. If you have a tea set and the importer company has closed (such as Royal Patrician recently) don't get discouraged yet! Many of the decals are also used by others and you will probably find yours alive and well somewhere else. They may be placed in a little different location on the pieces or different in size but should blend nicely with what you already have! Most of the tea sets from China are also decals but do not have the variety and selection of pieces. Generally, they also have a shorter lifespan depending upon their popularity in sales. To attract new customers there are always new patterns and the prices are substancially less than those from England.

What good information and the collection of violet teaware is gorgeous. I really like the idea of using the little hinged teapot to hold teabags.
