Queen Elizabeth II for Pink Saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday and cup and saucer display with the Pink Lace! Yesterday a lady asked me if I would like to purchase this 50 year old cup and saucer...... I acquired it for a very reasonable price and find it very interesting......

Elizabeth II became Queen on February 6, 1952.....

Late note:  I plan to give this as a gift to a friend

It's a delightful teacup! How nice to have the young Queen Elisabeth smiling at you! It's like drinking out of history!

That is a lovely cup and saucer. I saw Queen Elizabeth at Queen's Park in Toronto many years ago (a little later than the 1959 visit).

Happy Pink Saturday, Bernideen.

I like it, too. In fact, I have a great admiration for the queen. She has served her country well.

And, I especially love the pink lace.

How fun! I've always had a bit of a fascination with Royal families. Is that weird?

Happy Pink Saturday and have a great weekend!

Another nice addition to your tea cups. And this one must be really one of a kind :-)

I looked through you previous posts and what an organization. That's a lot of recipes you have there. Wow.
