Jalapeno Cornbread

You will need: 2 cups self rising
cornmeal or regular with 2 tsp baking powder, 3 eggs beaten, 1 can of cream style corn, 2/3 cup of cooking oil, 1 cup of buttermilk, 1 cup grated cheddar cheese, 1/2 small can of diced jalapeno peppers or 2 diced fresh

Preheat theoven to 375 degrees and mix above ingredients and pour into well greased pyrex dish 8 x 12

Bake 375 degrees for 35-45minutes until golden.........

This cornbread would taste very yummy with the salad I posted on March 6, 2009.

You are making me hungry for Jalapeno Cornbread, I use to make it.
I have the same tall bunny you have on the table. Mine is holding a basket of flowers with a lace shawl.

Sounds good. I've never tried jalapeno or savory cornbread only the sweet kind. This will be a treat.

All the best,
Allison
